Explore the rich, earthy beauty of Rough Mahogany Obsidian, a natural volcanic glass known for its deep reddish‑brown tones and striking black patterns. Each 1kg selection contains a mix of chunky, angular pieces showing the classic mahogany‑and‑jet contrast that makes this material a favourite for tumblers, collectors, and lapidary artists.
In its raw form, Mahogany Obsidian has a sharp, glassy texture with natural fractures and conchoidal edges. During tumbling, it smooths quickly and develops a high‑gloss polish, revealing swirling mahogany bands and dramatic dark inclusions.
Please note: The product photo shows the stones wet to highlight their natural colours. Dry rough material will appear lighter and more matte before tumbling or polishing.
